The works shown in this video are activities of the project “Comparative pilot waterway municipal plastic waste management practices for reducing marine plastic pollution in Nam Dinh, the Red River Delta Biosphere Reserve, Vietnam”. The project is implemented by the Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD) and its partners, with financial support from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Municipal Waste Recycling Program (MWRP) managed by Development Innovations Group (DIG). The project is implemented from 2018 to December 31, 2020 in Nam Dinh province, the Red River Delta Biosphere Reserve. It aims to test innovative and low-cost technology solutions incorporating social solutions to enhance the waste management along rivers and estuaries, then contribute to managing the solid waste more efficiently and reducing the plastic pollution in river and marine environment of Nam Dinh province.
