Ecolife Café continues its pathway to BoP innovation

Forum “Pathways to BoP Innovation: Stories and Ways to Sustainability” was organised during October 25-26, 2010 in Manila by iBoP Asia in cooperation with the Ateneo de Manila University. MCD Deputy Director and Ecolife Ltd CEO Ms. Ho Thi Yen Thu participated and spoke in the forum about Ecolife Café initiative, on behalf of the consortium of Vietnet ICT, MCD and Ecolife.

What is integrated coastal zone management?  |  7/10/2010

At the international conference on coastal zone in 1993, integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) was defined: ICZM include comprehensive assessment, setting goals planning and management of coastal resource systems, taking elements of history, culture and tradition, while interested in the harmony of interests in the use of resources. This is a process of continuous progress for sustainable development.

Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment Toolkits  |  17/9/2010

A story about a fisher man  |  16/9/2010

Being a fisher man, Mr. Nguyen goes and spends his days in the sea. All aquatic species and birds become his close friends. He knows all about their living habit and talking about them is one of Nguyen’s favourite. He joint MCD conservation activities immediately when he knew that his knowledge about his friends can help protect them from hunting and fishing. Nguyen’s daily life has changed from then.

ASEAN Exhibition on Biodiversity  |  3/8/2010

On 3rd August 2010, the exhibition of ASEAN on Biodiversity took place at Melia Hotel, Hanoi. Participating in the exhibition, MCD has a stand to expose the biodiversity of the coral reef ecosystem and wetland ecosystem through the activities of MCD biodiversity conservation projects and the community efforts.
